The Road Back to CHennai - Via Kumuli

 

After completing the boat ride and had good lunch and it was 4 PM and the cab drive stated it will take 2 hrs 30 to drop me back to Kodai Road

 

The driver drove so slowly, reached Kodai road at 9.00 PM. While Driving down from Thekkady, i witnessed the River which was flowing from Thekkady.

 

Thekkady - Kerala

 

I again planned my day after the trek to sita lakshmi lake, The hotel people stated thekkadi is close to Munnar and we can visit that place. My train was at 10.30 PM on the same day. I don't want to waste the entire. Took the trip to Thekkady, 2 hrs 30 min is the journey. I should thank the driver he stopped where ever i asked to stop on the way to thekkady. I took this picture above, never thought i would encounter such beautiful place.

 

Reached Thekkady by 12.00 Pm took the ride, the day temperature was so cold.It was so cloudy was worried it might rain, i was lucky it did not. Here comes the Mullai periyar Dam were there is dispute for water between Kerala & Tamilnadu.

 

I will call the people stupid who made this as issue, nature never has any boundaries
The beauty of the river and the animals which comes to drink water on the banks of river. I took these pictures while the boat was in moving condition. The boat ride is
for 3 hrs. If you are taking the boat ride, take the 1st ride in the morning and you can Witness the animals coming to drink water in the banks.

 

Kerala govt, had built a small house cottage inside the Thekkady and you can choose if you can Stay inside that for a day and it costly. They call it as Spice house.

Sita Laksmi Lake - Moderate Trek - Starting Point Sterling Resort

 

3rd day of the trip, by this time every one had completed all the place and we had some time till next day morning. I was enquiring with the locals. I always aspire to explore new place where no one had visited before. The Guide came up with the Small trek to Sita Lakshmi Lake above Sterling Resort

 

We started After Lunch around 2 PM we reached the destination by 4 PM and it was so silent. The place was surrounded with bamboo tree, wind was so blow can hear the
Sound of the trees and with ripple of the water witnessed the beauty of the nature.

 

The Guide Made sound, Sir it time we need to go down and it becomes dark fast.While we were returning back, the slope of the valley was so beautiful.You can witness yourself in the above pictures………

 

Mystic Bells of Munnar - Kullumamalai

 

We reached the Top of the mountain by that that the entire was tried as the ride was little. As you the Spectacular view all the tiredness goes off.

 

The Road strip on the mountain was narrow and both side we had view one is Kerala Total greenish and other side we had the view of the Tamil nadu which is Dry.

 

Once we reach the Tamil Nadu factory, we greeted well. The Factory view was Awesome as it situated in the edge of the mountain where you can see the Kodaikanal Peaks.

 

We reached Sterling back by 4.00 PM the entire day was filled with lot of entertainment, The curve of the Tea garden that ignite the Sweet love in each one of us.

Kulumalai - I m Stunned by the View.....

 

Kulumalai - is Mystical Place to be in Munnar…….. The must Place if you are visiting Munnar. Information about the place
a) 20kms from Sterling Resort.
b) Only Jeep Travel regularly as there are no roads.
c) The height of the Mountain is more than 2000m
d) The beauty of the Mountain, You have Tea factory owned by the Tamilnadu govt.
e) You need to reach the Top of the Mountain on or before 9 AM, as
mist cross the mountain you can it below pic…….

The Breeziiii day Out in Munnar

 

I could very well remember, The sterling people arranged a tempo traveller.....it was chilling day out where the hearts painted in green...........It was 2 Hrs Journey reached a place called Kundala Lake.

 

Description of the Lake, The boating in the middle of the Valley with the Clouds Surrounded with lot of Joy.

 

The time Passed away so fast we had the Lunch at place below the bridge. The Picture is place we witnessed a Single tree in the middle of the Lake…………

 

Munnar - Thekkadi - Trip - Explored

 

It was a long time dream to visit Munnar, it was suddenly planned by friend from Bangalore Dattari.We had plan to explore places which are untouched by Locals. Accommodation was booked in Sterling resort.
How to Reach Munnar from Chennai ?
1. Chennai - Trichi - Dindugal - Kodiroad - Bodi - Munnar - Via Road.
2. Rail Link Available Daily - PANDIAN EXP - Departure Time –
21.05 - 05.00 Arrival Kodai Road.
I opted the option 2, once you reach Kodai – It takes 2 and half hour to reach Munnar.
By the time I reached Munnar it was 8.30 Am and it cold Climate and totally greenish.
Took some rest, at Sterling resort. Places to be visited in Munnar,
a) Echo Point
b) MettuPati Dam
c) Kundala Lake( Compared to Srinagar Dal Lake) Boating is available.
d) Eravikulam (Rajamalai) National Park
e) Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary
I took 4 days holiday.

 

I started visiting the above place, the travel was well arranged by the sterlign resort soon there were Small Group. 1st 2 days we have completed visiting all the places and we were left out with 2 days doing nothing, immediately we asked the resort people and he suggested Local places.

 

But I was very curious in visiting places were the tourist presence is less.
I asked for small treks, Sterling guys suggested me Sita Lakshmi Lake & Kullakumalai.
